In a world of socialized medicine the government would have told 77 year old Ted Kennedy to forget about costly brain surgery by the government.

Most of the 50 million "uninsured" in America are either people who opted out (the young and the rich), or people who were only briefly uninsured, or illegal immigrants. This is a phony, manufactured crisis.
The system doesn't work well and needs to be fixed, but "rescuing" us from the right to choose, and from the quality and access of high-tech, free market health care is not the answer.
-We don't want rationed health care.
-We don't want long waits.
-We don't want mountains of red tape.
-We don't want higher mortality rates like European countries.
-And we don't want doctors to come out of college with six-figure debt, already facing insane malpractice insurance costs and then also having to deal with non-competitive wages.
It's a recipe for disaster, and it has failed everywhere it has been tried.

Government, please leave me alone. I pay so many taxes now I barely even know when I'm being taxed or not. Income, sales, FCC, capital gains, property, fuel, meals, tolls, etc... at the fed, state, and local levels. It's like I'm already donating 1/3 of my income to the tax takers. Enough!

The death of Ted Kennedy no doubt will slow this wreckless train heading toward putting our nation further at financial risk on the world's stage. Consuming debt will consume this country.
